Short-term Trips
Short term mission trips are a great way to get involved in missions and broaden your horizons. We have had the opportunity to go on two short-term trips, once to India for three weeks, and once to Haiti for one week. These trips impressed upon us the need for more missionaries more than any sermon or PowerPoint presentation ever could. Plus, it’s a great way to figure out if God might be calling you to serve long-term. (That’s how we found out God was calling us!) These trips range in duration (and cost) from a few weeks to several months.
Because our mission work with the Mubami is in its infancy, we are not yet hosting short-term trips to the Mubami area. But you can check out other volunteer opportunities with Wycliffe below.
Internships
Wycliffe offers internships, both domestically and abroad, ranging from just a couple months up to six months. If you’re interested in using one of these internships to satisfy degree requirements, be sure you arrange things ahead of time with you school and with Wycliffe!
Career Opportunities
The needs for Bible translation are vast and require an army of people with various skills and giftings. We need pilots, mechanics, Bible translators, linguists, teachers, doctors, managers, IT professionals, and almost any professional skills that you have to offer! If you’re interested in becoming a career missionary, we’d love to share our experiences with you (send us a message in the “Contact Us” section). Here is a selection of some of Wycliffe’s personnel needs:
